Before redesigning Pindrop Hearing’s site, we asked over 100 people: ‘Within 10 seconds of being on the page, can you tell us where this business is located?’ We found that most could not. As stated on Nielsen Norman Group: “Users often leave Web pages in 10–20 seconds, but pages with a clear value proposition can hold people’s attention for much longer. To gain several minutes of user attention, you must clearly communicate your value proposition within 10 seconds.” In our redesign, we made their value proposition clearer which involved highlighting their locations, the key services they provide and offered more opportunities for users to enquire.
